A positive presence at Reifen 2008
As a regular exhibitor at Reifen, Infinity will once again be presenting a very positive presence at Reifen 2008 in Germany with an even more extensive range of quality tyres.
From a visually distinctive stand manned by a team of experienced personnel, tyre displays will be on show highlighting the versatility of the range across a number of
market sectors including PCR, Ultra High Performance, 4x4, van, light and heavy radial truck.
The UHP range from Infinity is lead by the INf-050, which offers many important benefits including superior braking performance, extensive tread wear resistance, low noise ride comfort as well as reinforced bead providing comprehensive safe handling on both wet and dry road surfaces. New pattern developments have seen the introduction of the T rated INF-030, H and V rated INF-040 and Van / LTR INF-100. An extended range of 4X4 is now represented by the new INF-200.
Winter tyres are also a major market for Infinity. The INF-049 PCR winter tyre has already proved to be a great success. The size range has been increased and now includes the new INF-059 Van /LTR. Finally the Infinity truck range offers a comprehensive selection of 16 and 17.5 inch ratios through to 445/65R22.5. Maxxis Tyres
In addition to generating increased awareness of its range through trade advertising, sponsorship and the Centres of Excellence programme, Maxxis has launched a monthly marketing bulletin to help tyre retailers keep up to speed with the latest Maxxis product and service developments.
Titled 'On Track' the electronic bulletin incorporates an overview of trade and consumer press advertising, editorial coverage and sponsorship activities. The first issue (January) included dates for the 2008 ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship and puts the spotlight on the prestigious ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship Awards. Maxxis International UK managing director Derek McMartin was guest of honour and presented awards to the teams and riders who won the MX1 and MX2 classes last season and the manufacturer and individual winners of the MXY2 youth series.
Maxxis has been a major force in motocross for a number of years now and is title sponsor of the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship until 2010. The company also backs the Relentless Suzuki, Kawasaki Twisted Seven, Albion KTM and Moggstar KTM factory-supported teams, who will be putting its tyres to the ultimate test during the eight-round 2008 series.
European launch of Supermaxx Sport - Staying with two wheels, Maxxis recently boosted its motorcycle tyre range with the addition of the new Supermaxx Sport, a high performance sports radial developed especially for the performance road and track day market.
With an advanced tread pattern and distinct angular profile, the tyre provides quick, precise and responsive handling. It was extremely well received, both by the trade and the media, when it made its European debut at Birmingham's Motorcycle Trade Expo at the turn of the year.
On track with the BykerBabes- Maxxis is stepping up a gear in respect of its motorcycle sponsorship this season with plans to support a team competing in the 2008 British Superbike Championship - more news on this will be released shortly. The company has also announced a tie up with promotional company BykerBabe - www.bykerbabe.com - to promote its track racing and motocross sponsorship throughout the year.
Promoting the Maxxis 4x4 range - Maxxis is once again seeking to raise its profile and drive business to tyre retailers by promoting its comprehensive range of off-road, on/off-road and road going tyres direct to consumers.
Maxxis is generating greater awareness among off-road enthusiasts with high profile advertising in the UK's top 4x4 titles. The campaign takes the theme 'Freedom to Explore' and is running in Total Off Road, Land Rover World, Land Rover Monthly and Land Rover Enthusiast magazines to the end of the year.
Time to mow - new season gives turf tyres a boost - "As we approach the start of the grass cutting season we are also entering the peak period in which retailers operating in this sector can pick up extra business. Local authorities are overhauling their machinery, providing retailers with an excellent chance to boost sales and win new contracts," says Derek McMartin. Retailers selling Maxxis turf tyres enjoy a head start, as the brand is seen as the Rolls Royce of quality tyres for the amenity market, including specialist turf products, with an extensive range covering almost every application
